Meet the founder Amanda Campbell.

Amanda’s story from paralysis from MS to walking again.

Amanda Campbell is the founder of Bend Like Bamboo, a program designed to maximise resilience, wellbeing & performance. As a Sports Kinesiologist and resilience trainer, Amanda works with individuals, businesses & schools to boost resilience with flexibility.

She believes that with a flexible mindset, we can re-imagine what can be possible in our minds, bodies, and lives.

Overcoming a paralysis at age 29 from MS, she discovered that a flexible mindset impacts everything that matters: our body’s ability to repair, how happy and resilient we are, and how connected we feel.

Amanda’s story

Watch a short video about Amanda’s story of her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, which led to left-side body paralysis at the age of 29 years old. Amanda has made a full recovery, and it is her passion to share how the power of flexibility helped her to nourish a mindset that would help her to rebuild her mind, health, and life.

As a Melbourne Kinesiologist, Amanda founded her private practice Bend Like Bamboo in 2014 after winning a Go For Gold Scholarship with MS Limited.

Amanda is not only a trained practitioner but also a patient. Her knowledge, combined with her personal experience, is why her clients love working with her at her private practices in Prahran and McCrae, Mornington Peninsula.

As a proud MS Ambassador, Amanda has built a career by speaking about the pillars of health, which she believes build flexibility and resilience.

Topics include resilience, a happy mind, a happy body, nutrition and recipes that optimise repair, reconnection and journaling.

Her Kinesiology practice and programs are built around workshops designed to manage stress, maximising resilience and well-being.

Intuitive healer
Mentor | Coach.

As a trained Intuitive Kinesiologist and Author, I specialise in Multiple Sclerosis & Autoimmune Disease.

I help individuals to re-imagine possibility in their minds, bodies and lives.

As a Mentor, Coach and keynote speaker, I work with individuals helping them to destress and uncover blind spots to achieve their personal and professional goals.

After my own diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis at age 24 and overcoming a left-hand side body paralysis at age 29, my journey led to discovering how to give my mind and body the best environment to repair and thrive.

Helping others now I discovered that a flexible mindset impacts everything that matters: our body’s ability to repair, our ability to adapt, heal and perform.

I believe that flexibility builds resilience in people and building resilience in our mindset improves our physical wellbeing.

Resilience at work.

Sometimes the workplace needs a reset. To overcome change, stress, and disconnection.

To take the time to reconnect and re-align

I believe that flexibility builds resilience, and building resilience in people, in turn, improves business.

Available in-person and online, The Bend Like Bamboo resilience program is customisable for workplaces around Australia & globally.

MS Ambassador

As an MS Ambassador for MS Limited Australia, my volunteer role is to raise awareness about MS in the community and simply educate, motivate and advocate.

I hope to make a difference in people’s lives and help others deal with managing the symptoms of MS.

I speak at various events with the hope to inspire people with my story of loss and triumph, by spreading my message that living a happier healthy life is possible and creates magic in your life.
