Why Bend Like Bamboo?
Nearly 20 years ago, life was very different for me when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and 5 years later I was paralysed in a wheelchair.
I had to learn how to rebuild my mind, body, and life. This led me on a path to study and research western & eastern philosophies of how to promote growth and repair pathways, to healing. Taking a whole-istic approach to the mind, body, and its connection, I learned that a flexible mindset is the best environment to reduce stress and restore well-being.
As a practitioner and patient, I know firsthand how stressful and overwhelming it can be when we feel rigid & stressed. It impacts our ability to be at our best at work, at home and, within our relationships. It can be very difficult to navigate solutions when you are feeling tired, and unwell.
On my journey of recovery, I discovered that a flexible mindset impacts everything that matters: our body’s ability to repair, how happy and resilient we are, and how connected we feel. The lessons I learned in repairing my health, also helped me to perform in a fast-paced environment as a CEO. With a flexible mindset, we can reset & destress. With an elevated mindset, we can reimagine what can be possible in our minds, bodies, and lives.
